1:1 Coaching

Coaching helped Alyse* trade comfort for fulfillment—and unlock a career she truly loves.

Alyse, a principal consultant in a large biopharma consulting firm, was proud of her rapid rise from staff consultant to team leader. Yet something was missing…she wasn’t finding the joy she wanted in her work.

Through 1:1 coaching with Ann, Founder & President of The Bailey Leadership Group, Alyse identified and reframed the limiting beliefs she had about making a career switch; developed and implemented networking strategies to not only build but also leverage connections in other industries; and reviewed general options for shifting her career including moving to another division within her firm or pursuing a position with a different organization.  Over six weeks, she clarified her goals, expanded her network, and explored opportunities both within her firm and beyond.

The result? Alyse confidently transitioned into a client-facing role at a new organization in an industry she truly cares about. She is excited that she found a role that aligns with her values and long-term aspirations.

Her takeaway: Change can feel uncertain, but with clarity and courage, it’s possible to move from “comfortable but unfulfilling” to “energized and thriving.”

Leader Development & Team Coaching

Aligned strategy, stronger leadership, and full-team engagement sets a non-profit for sustained success

A community-based non-profit had grown from a small, close-knit team to a staff of 20 with defined departments and roles. While successful, the organization faced new challenges: team members weren’t aligned on purpose and priorities, collaboration across departments was limited, and the executive team—now with new hires—struggled to find its footing.

The organization partnered with The Bailey Leadership Group (TBLG) to align strategy and strengthen team performance. We began with one-on-one interviews and a review of strategy documents, performance data, and leadership style profiles to identify strengths, challenges, and opportunities.

These insights shaped an interactive half-day workshop where the full team explored the foundations of high-performing teams through experiential learning. The executive team then participated in a strategy alignment session, followed by an all-staff session to refine and finalize strategic priorities, initiatives, and performance indicators. A process for regular performance reviews was also implemented.

To sustain momentum, the executive team engaged in a three-month team coaching program focused on building trust, fostering psychological safety, practicing productive conflict, and ensuring accountability. TBLG observed meetings and provided targeted coaching to help leaders navigate real-time challenges.

The results? The team is fully engaged in implementing the strategy, and staff report a renewed sense of clarity and collaboration. The executive team has made significant progress in how they work together and with external stakeholders. The organization is now positioned for continued success—with optimism and alignment driving the next chapter of growth.
